APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Program Eligibility:
- Applicants must be enrolled at Baylor as an undergraduate student for the duration of the summer program
- Baylor undergraduate students from all majors are eligible to apply for the program
- Preference will be given to rising juniors and seniors, however, rising sophomores will be considered
- Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
APPLICATION MATERIALS:
- Resume
- Cover Letter
- The cover letter should clearly communicate: 1) What drew you to this program and why you're interested; 2) What qualifications you bring to this program (i.e. relevant academic coursework completed, leadership and service opportunities that demonstrate your reliability and maturity); 3) How this experience will advance your future academic, professional, and personal goals.
- Two recommendations submitted through this recommendation form
- At least one recommendation must be from a Baylor faculty or staff member
- Degree Audit (Unofficial is acceptable)
- An academic writing sample from your time at Baylor
- Permission to access student conduct records*
*Due to the nature of this program, applicant records maintained by the Student Conduct Administration office are subject to review at any time to ensure that program participants are in good standing with the University. Any past offenses will be considered and program participation will be determined at the discretion of the program directors based on this review. If a student is accepted into the program and the program directors learn of past or new offenses after-the-fact, acceptance into the program and any offered scholarship funds can be revoked, as determined at the discretion of the program directors.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
After applying to the program, your submission will be reviewed by our team. If selected for an interview, we will contact you to set up a 3o-minute, virtual interview. If selected for a second interview, we will contact you to set-up a 30-minute, in-person meeting with our faculty director, Dr. Thomas Hibbs.
